EGCore has posted an interesting article by Mythica Lead Environment artist, Michael Cahill. Entitled Finding Inspiration in the Remote Corners of the World, it describes his travels around the world looking for inspiration for the designs of the Mythica worlds:
Thus far, I’ve crawled through the jungles and ruins of the Yucatan Peninsula, followed the sailing route of Captain James Cook through the visually stunning islands of the South Pacific, gotten lost in the outskirts of Singapore, been searched by machine gun armed military in South Korea, dove on the great barrier reef in Australia, explored my way across all the provinces of Canada (twice) , traveled and explored every single state in the USA, with the exception of Maine and Vermont (I will make it there one of these days), trekked deep into remote parts of Mexico, and stood on the beach in Tai Pai, watching the moon reflect of the East China Sea. So…..where do I go next?
