We missed this earlier in the week amidst GameSpy's cluttered pages...GameSpy has wheeled out an article called The Big Update, looking at the recent content patch for 'World of Warcraft':FOR MANY World of Warcraft players, the mere thought of hitting level 60 is preposterous, a pipe dream better saved for hardcore players with copious spare time. For many of those hardcore players, however, level 60 represents about a month or so of efficient, persistent gaming ... and the starting point for what many have considered a relatively small amount of high-level content. On Tuesday, Blizzard rolled out a large World of Warcraft update that introduced one new high-level area (Dire Maul), a few new features, and some character tweaks that players have been waiting months for. However, the rollout was far from a smooth one, with major server issues continuing over 12 hours past the intended finish time and continuing into the night. |
