Thief was (and is) a fun game. Hardcore fans will know that there are several fan made missions (of high quality) out there, but for those of you who don't, there is an interesting article at 3DActionPlanet about them and how to play them. They are describing several of the fan made missions and how to load them. They are also giving links to the files, so you can download them and have a fun weekend :-. Here's a snippit from the article:

In the Thief community, amateur levels are referred to as fan-made missions, or FMs. A third party program known as Darkloader is used to load fan-made missions from a simplified menu interface, conveniently displaying the readme and a checklist of all features included in the mission. As with any editable game, there are loads of amateur Thief endeavors circulating on the 'Net, and likewise, some are better than others. The following is a showcase of the most popular and top-rated FMs available for both Thief and Thief 2.

Very recommended!
