Massivemultiplayer.org. has posted a Glympse interview with Jason Yarnell, President of Sojourn. Here's an excerpt:
Q: Glympse features player-created quests. Can you explain what this exactly means? Is this tied into the ability that players have of inadvertently affecting the story line of the game, or do they play a more active role in quest creation? When you state that players affect the world around them through their actions, does this take the form of simple back-story additions, or are you considering the ability to modify the landscape (i.e. build or tear down buildings, blast through the landscape with powerful machinery or spells, etc)?

A: This is actually a pretty exciting area of the experience. Initially players will be able to handle quests that basically consist of hiring other players for jobs. As the players get more experienced we have a ‘Life Path’ that actually allows the player to tap into the realm of dreams and gather quests that directly affect the game world.

Though the real-time deformation of the landscape will not likely be available, the events that are triggered through the quests could very well trigger the very shape of the landscape.
