PS2.IGN has posted a 'Champions: Return to Arms' dev diary. Since the intro does a good job of setting the scene, here we go:

I'm Clint Worley, producer on Champions: Return to Arms for the PlayStation 2. I have been working at Sony since 1995 and have worked on various PS2 and PC titles. Working on console games is always a challenge, and Return to Arms has proven to be quite an undertaking. With a short development cycle we have been very focused on schedules and features.
