The PotBS Stratics team is looking to fill in our ranks of Volunteer Staff, and we want YOU to be a part of it all! We are looking for dedicated, committed, and highly creative people to join us and fill positions in our various departments. PORTAL MANAGER

This position is responsible for the management of the portal site, including maintaining the news, content, and forum areas on a daily basis. The requirements are:

* The ability to lead and encourage a team of volunteer staff
* The time and ability to provide daily attention to the portal site
* Basic knowledge of html writing
* Willingness to be responsible for all aspects of website management as it pertains to the PotBS Portal site
* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Being a Portal Manager is more than just obtaining and retaining staff, it is taking an active involvement in the site itself. Only when one leads by example can one lead successfully. And leading successfully is what brings more staff, more readers, more community.

CONTENT

Content Editors: Content Editors are responsible for pouring over the existing content on the site and making sure it is current & correct. If it is not, they are responsible for correcting it and submitting it to the Admin team. They are also welcome to submit their own guides/databases if they so wish at any time and such action is heavily encouraged. An ability to write well is necessary. Editors will be expected to write guides and keep them updated.*

*(Please note - until actual release of PotBS, this position will be required to update existing information and work on an official preview product).

NEWS REPORTERS

News Reporters are responsible for reviewing all available information on a regular (daily) basis and providing our community with up-to-date reports of what's happening on the high seas. Some knowledge of html is helpful, but not required. The ability to right well and capture a reader's attention is essential.

FORUM MODERATORS

To qualify for this position you must have the ability to:

* Be impartial
* Enforce the Stratics Rules of Conduct
* Stimulate and lead discussions, to lead by example.
* Participate in the discussions, expressing your own opinion and encouraging debate without attacking the opinions of others

In general, the following is stuff we would like to see:

* Be excited about the role and have a willingness to encourage discussion about the game through feedback, forum use, etc.
* Have a clear understanding of what it is we are trying to do with these areas.
* Have the time available to commit an average of four hours or so a week to the staff.
* Be at least 18 years of age.

The main qualities we are looking for are dedication and commitment, not the ability to write a novel!
