A second review of Grandia 2 for PC was posted today, this time at Gaming Age. Their rating is a solid B, with this conclusion offered:
Grandia II still stands out as a fantastic RPG. I'm sure there are still some unlucky folks who haven't had a chance to play it yet, and perhaps the move to the PC was all they were waiting for. Be forewarned that this is a tradition console based RPG and NOT a tradition PC RPG. If you are familiar with both types, you'll know what I mean. Don't expect a non-linear open-ended quest. Get used to the battle scene loading seperate from the dungeon view. Being a big proponent of console RPGs and console games in general, I highly recommend this to curious PC owners. If you don't start with the Final Fantasy series, then you at least need to give Grandia II a try. |
