In the 12th Morrowind Q&A at RPGVault, they ask the developers about their favorite monster in the game. Here's what our friend GT Noonan had to say:

It would have to be the skeleton champion. Those guys don't give up 'til one of you is down for the count. The ones that confront you with a sword will give you a run for your money, but the ones with a sword AND a shield will most likely send you running for the hills. They know when to swing, when to block, and know just how to stare you down and get you shook. It's always a challenge taking one on head to head. If you enter a tomb and there just happen to be two of them waiting for you, my best advice is to turn and burn. It usually takes quite a bit of skill, muscle, or magic to bag them.
