The ability to free the Satyrs has been in the game since we released it. The events, while related to the Satyr race, is not directly tied to freeing them in any way. Had this event not been put in, Satyrs could still be freed in the very same way that they still can. ...but I'm not going to tell you how, that would spoil the fun.
