AllOutGames presents you a review of Grandia 2 for PC, giving the game a rating of 73%. Their conclusion shows that they have somewhat mixed feelings about this console port:
Grandia II doesn't always seem to have a lot going for it. The dated graphics and simplistic sound effects don't help flesh out the generic story, and the voice acting won't exactly keep you riveted, but the game is still built on solid foundations. PC gamers have a chance at something different here, and the low-fi graphics mean the game will run on a wide range of systems. The functional (sometimes even loveable) characters, the entertaining battle system, and the above-average translation are all reasons to recommend Grandia II to someone looking for a change. If you can get past its shortcomings, you might just find something to enjoy.
