Warcry's "Kross" has posted this rather lackluster review of Cops 2170: The Power of Law, in which an overall grade of 7.5 out of 10 was awarded...
Gameplay: 7.0
Pro: RPG and faction mechanics make for variety, the battles can be fun once you make it to the action alive. Most things have tooltips and you can figure it out, along with not really having to worry about much but being able to shoot.
Con: AI that likes to swarm or get lost in a corner, annoying fog of war, hard to determine what equipment is worth using.
Technical: 7.0
Pro: Pretty environments, and a decent effort on character models. Background music decent as well.
Con: Horrible voice acting, annoying ambient loops, few overall character models.
Entertainment: 6.5
Pro: Once you get used to the quirks, it's worth playing for a challenge in fighting overwhelming odds, and you feel like you accomplished something when you finally beat the more difficult missions.
Con: ARGH! 30+ enemies at once! And how did those five just appear BEHIND ME?
