WOOTSOFT ENTERTAINMENT’S IRITOR ONLINE CONTEST WINNER TO BE FIRST PLAYER EVER INCORPORATED INTO AN MMOG
VIENNA, AUSTRIA – September 25, 2002 -- Wootsoft Entertainment, developer of the massively multiplayer game Iritor Online scheduled for Beta testing this Fall, today announced an online games industry “first” – a free contest which incorporates the contest winner by name and by some physical characteristics into its upcoming online game. The contest starts today and runs through November 23, 2002, and players may enter the contest at www.iritor.comy by becoming part of the Iritor Online Community.
“For the first time in the online games industry, anyone entering our contest has a chance to be the first human to be immortalized in an online game,” says Markus Fuhrmann, President of Wootsoft Entertainment. "We believe there are a lot of gamers who would love being a character who will live online for the life of Iritor Online."
Iritor Online is a futuristic, sci-fi game that explores humanity’s fatalistic struggle to survive on the alien planet Iritor. The game’s seamless world contains customizable characters, rich battle options, exploration, and social interaction. Playing styles range from solo action to group tactics involving medics, modulators, and player-controlled “mechs.” Mass battles involving large numbers of players and aliens are possible, as are duels against a single nemesis.
The contest winner will have a character in Iritor Online assigned his or her first name. In addition, some of that character’s physical attributes will approximate those of the winner. The winner will also be able to create a totally unique face and receive special and unique equipment. The winner and five randomly selected runners-up will receive one year free access to play Iritor Online.
Every contest entrant receives a free Preferred Membership in the Beta test group and receives specific free benefits such as access to unique screen shots, special diaries, voting poles, and the chance to win additional prizes.
