Betrayal at Krondor: 10/10 points |
One of my favorite RPG's of all time and one of the few that I actually completly finished. This game had a great plot and excellent gameplay for it's time. One of the few games where playing it was like reading a good book. |
Dragon Wars: 9/10 points |
My first real CRPG. I played it on an old Tandy 8088 computer. I actually managed to finish this game and from what I remember it was alot of fun. I've still got the game with box and manuals in a box somewhere. Dragon Wars is the unofficial Bard's Tale 3 but isn't as well known as the 2 Bards Tale. IMO its a classic like them just that not alot of people happened to play. |
Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall: 9/10 points |
One of the best experiences I've had playing a thief character in a RPG was in Daggerfall... I really can't talk about the plotline cause I never got anywhere with it. But I did have a great time as thief, climbing walls, stealing stuff, and robbing shopkeepers blind. It was buggy(falling into the void) and some of the random dungeons where a real pain but overall still an excellent experience. Daggerfall is the major reason I'm so looking forward to Morrowind cause Morrowind will hopefully be a modern dat Daggerfall without the bugs. |
Lands of Lore 1 - The Throne Of Chaos: 10/10 points |
I can't believe this hasn't been rated by anyone yet. Lands of Lore 1 is one of the best rpg's I've ever played along with BAK, Dragon Wars, and Daggerfall. The CDROM copy of Lands of Lore featured lots voice acting which I remeber enjoying along some really good puzzles as well a good storyline. One of the few CRPG that I have completly finished. |
