Here's the press release:
Runesword II Safe Box Edition Ships!
Create your own RPG!

Cary, NC, 25 June 2003

Long before a certain other game tried to recreate the pen and paper experience of a good RPG to your monitor there was the Runesword series, created by Crosscut Games. Born out of frustration with the trappings of most CRPGs, the Runesword series allowed gamers to create their own RPG world. No longer were computer gamers stuck with the stereotypical fantasy setting, unlike their tabletop brethren who enjoyed an endless array of worlds. With Runesword and Runesword II gamers could create everything from FASA's Behind Enemy Lines RPG to TSR's Boot Hill. All that was needed was imagination and time.

The first Runesword was released as charityware and quickly burned up the download charts with little more than word of mouth. With the sequel Crosscut Games joined the award-winning team of Shrapnel Games and released Runesword II in 2001. The game has been a constant seller for Shrapnel since its release and now in 2003 we are pleased to release it repackaged in a DVD case.

It is important to note that this is not a new edition of Runesword II. This is simply a repackaging. Whereas before the game came as the majority of our games do, shrinkwrapped with the manual, it is now packaged in a sturdy DVD case, with the extensive manual located on the CD itself. This is still a CD-ROM, a DVD-ROM is not needed.

The Safe Box edition ships this week, and is available for the amazingly low price of $24.95 through The Gamer's Front. For more information on the game please visit http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Crosscut/rsii/
