The crew at Loadedinc awarded SOE's 'EverQuest' sequel a score of 9/10 in their review.
I really wish I were not writing this review. Why? Because I can no longer tell my wife that I “have” to play Everquest II. Ah, the sad life of a game reviewer. To think, I can no longer let any game suck me in so deeply that I do not play anything else. I can assure you of one thing though, if I had the luxury of playing only one game right now, this would be it.
Having played the beta extensively, starting EQ II again was like coming home again for the holidays (hey, it is Christmas time…) when familiar sights and sounds are present, but everything looks just a little different. After completing the brief tutorial and early missions, I was off on my career path to become the most powerful magic user in the EQ II universe. Of course there are plenty of others who are more powerful than me, but, given time, I will be more grand than any other.
