Joining stablemate IGN, a preview of 'Boiling Point: Road to Hell' has been kicked up at GameSpy. Here's a clip on what you'll be doing in the 25km square seamless gameworld:To call Boiling Point a first-person shooter would be to only tell half the story, though. There's apparently plenty more to it than running around, shooting people, and collecting ammo. You play the role of Saul Meyers, a hardened, ex-military sort, whose buxom journalist daughter has been kidnapped. Snooping, she was, around the streets of the fictional South American city of Puerto Somba (capitol of the likewise-fictional country Realia) when she was absconded with by a drug lord's goons. That's the story at the outset, anyway. Without wanting to give anything away, the Atari reps conducting the demo assured us it wasn't quite that simple. In any case, in the role of Meyer, your job is to turn Puerto Sombra -- and its surrounding jungles -- inside out until you find her. |
