Meanwhile, over at IGN, their staff have posted up their own "Holiday Buyer's Guide - 2004"...
PC games sit at the forefront of digital entertainment with higher resolution capabilities and more functionality and quicker response thanks to keyboard and mouse controls. The only problem is that in order to stay on top of the technology, you have to be ready to shell out some serious cash for a good gaming rig.
But if you can find some way to raise the money you need for that computer, there's a veritable gold mine of gaming waiting to greet you with open arms. There has been a windfall of good PC games this year including titles like Far Cry and Ground Control II that released earlier in the year. This holiday season is especially thick with quality titles like Rome: Total War and Half-Life 2. It certainly can make a gamer wish for enough money to buy and play all of them.
Of the ten PC Games IGN recommends in their guide - Sid Meier's Pirates, and the World of Warcraft (surprised??) made the list. |
