Driven loopy by lack of sleep and (if they are to be believed) too much pizza, the Dofus development has posted voluminous release notes for the patch that is now due to go live tomorrow. Given the meandering nature of the awkwardly translated notes, I'm inclined to believe more than just pizza was involved... let's just hope the code is stable. Normally I'd give you a summary of the patch notes, but my brain is kind of hurting right now... read the notes for yourself and you'll understand.
First of all, Please excuse us for the delay of one week between the announced date of release and the "Real" date of release envisioned. Many players have missinterpreted the explanation that we provided you with ( Namely the delay in the translation for the International version)
We cannot release a version before the other is complete as well. We cannot technically run several different versions on our servers. We always wanted that both the French and International worlds are "Technically" identical, Only the communities would change. That is the reason we configured the software and material of our servers, So that both are equal in all ways"
This delay will serve as a lesson to us, And we have taken the necessary precautions to prevent this kind of situation from happening to a future release because of a translation problem. ( Also we warned there might be a delay because of a problem with translation, There are still many unknown factors which can force us to push back a release date in a justified way Such as: Natural Disaster, Indigestion of Pizza < - Yes there can be a relation "Cause/consequence"... or the opposite!).
(The day before an update.. The Dofus team often works more than 24 hours and eats pizza in front of their cumputers. (note from translator)) |
