Crest of Taurus - There are many accounts of Taurus, the Great Bull, in the legends of our people. Some say he was merely a form assumed by Zeus, to aid in his efforts to seduce the Phoenician princess Europa, who like many women before her had aroused the lust of the King of the Olympian Gods. Still others speak of Taurus being sent to King Minos by Poseidon, the God of the Sea, where he later fathered the infamous Minotaur. Yet others speak of the Great Bull being chased or battled by the mighty heroes Hercules and Theseus.
