A review of Might & Magic 9 has been posted by Gamespot AU. Their rating is 7.4/10, and this is their conclusion (which falsely states that patches are in the works - they aren't):
So while the magic and combat elements benefit greatly from the improved graphics, the wider game world suffers. Quick saving and quick loading are implemented, but fans of the Might & Magic will notice that hallmarks of the previous games are gone. It would be far too harsh to call Might & Magic IX a rush job, but about six months more development time would have worked wonders. Patches are in the works, and if we're very lucky the development team will hit the nail on the head before they eventually go their separate ways. Regardless, Might & Magic IX is a good game and a worthy sequel, destined to be played and loved to death by fans of the series.
