Khabal Gaming features an article about the making of Redmoon Online. Here's a bit from that:
When JC Entertainment first approached Hwang about turning her comic into a game, she was highly skeptical. In fact, she was against the idea. She thought that the world of Redmoon was unsuitable for transformation into an online game, and was also wary of the consequence. “I was concerned whether the game will defame or damage the original work.”
Eventually, she had a change of heart, due primarily to the earnest persuasion of Ms Kim, who suggested for her to take a look at the game before deciding against turning Redmoon into a game. “She told me that if I don’t like it, the users would not like it either and she would give up the game,” said Hwang. “After a few months, she came with to me with the Redmoon game and I just felt wonderful about it and it was fantastic to see my characters actually coming alive in the game, walking and running.” Needless to say, she promptly changed her answer to affirmative. |
