Worlds of Ultima - Lost Sosaria is a mod for BioWare's' Neverwinter Nights, and will be built using the included Aurora toolset. It is based largely on events surrounding and immediately following Ultima 7 - The Black Gate and Ultima Underworld II - Labyrinth of Worlds.
Set in the two lost Sosarian continents (the Lands of the Dark Unknown and the Lands of the Feudal Lords, it chronicles the journey of a party of the Avatar's old companions and close friends, those who joined with the Avatar in the struggle against the Fellowship and the Guardian and then subsequently vanished from the face of the planet in all future Ultima games. For example:
- where is Sentri, the one-time mayor of Serpent's Hold, in Ultima IX?
- where is Segallion in Ultima 7 - The Black Gate or any Ultima therafter?
- did they just leave Gorn to wander in that cave forever?
- whatever became of Tseramead, Trellek the Emp (who you almost could recruit - in fact, his NPC number was 6, and numbers 1 through 10 (or 11) were the Avatar and all the companions you could have...except Trellek), and Spark?
Lost Sosaria chronicles a voyage not unlike the Avatar's. Not willing to trust the veracity of the Scroll of the Guardian supposedly found amongst Batlin's belongings more than a year after the fall of the Fellowship, Sentri begins to investigate the rapidly dwindling remnants of the Fellowship throughout Britannia, and makes a shocking discovery (more on this later).
Voyaging to an unknown land, he discovers the two lost Sosarian continents, the Ophidian servants of Order (or now, the Guardian), and three distinct societies, including one defended by his former friend and companion Segallion. He also discovers a damning secret to this new land, and begins a race against time that may ultimately cost him, and many others, life itself. For while the Imbalance rages, the true threat lies in Lost Sosaria.
