On a recent visit to the Electronic Arts campus in Redwood Shores City I was fortunate enough to get to take a look at a pre-alpha version of Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. While the game was not ready for release, it was a lot more stable then I expected. We were given the standard game and a copy that pushed us forward to several key points in the story. After about 3 hours of play I think I have a pretty good feel for what the game will become.
