An interview covering both upcoming expansion for Disciples II is up at JustRPG today. It has been conducted with Ariel Gauthier, who had to says this about the story:4) Please tell us about the story and background of each of the two expansion packs as well as what we can expect from the two high-level mini campaigns appearing in each expansion pack.
Both versions include the original Disciples II campaign along with the new high-level campaigns for these races. The story of the expansion picks up where Disciples II ended and continues the saga.
On the light side, Gallean, the Elven god, has been reborn and the four existing factions prepare for the potential rise of the forest dwellers. The Empire is decaying from within as self-proclaimed rulers struggle for control of the now vacant throne. A cruel Inquisition sweeps across the human lands, causing rebellion and misery. A noble paladin and his faction must seek an alliance with the Elven people to overthrow the corrupt trials of a deranged Inquisitor. Meanwhile the Clans, recovering from their near-destruction, begin to reunite their tribes. They have received divine instructions and now seek to uncover an ancient ritual that will let them communicate with their god, Wotan.
On the dark side, the Legions of the Damned enact a plan to spread Bethrezen’s plague across the surface of Nevendaar. They sense the threat brought about by the rebirth of the Elven god and will stop at nothing to steal this power for their own purposes. If the demon lord cannot leave his fiery prison, he will ensure that the world suffers the same fate. Perhaps most pivotal to the conflict, however, is Mortis and her army of Undead Hordes. After all, the rebirth of her husband Gallean was her doing. He had rejected her for what she had become, a twisted, heartless beast. Now she would teach her mate a lesson…one that would scar his people for eternity… |
