Sacred's world of Ancaria is one of swamps, deserts, mountains, forests and dragon scorched plains. In other words, it's a nice place to partake in some old-fashioned troll chopping fun, assuming you don't run into the shadowy, wandering magician Shaddar -- he's not very nice. Shaddar, it seems, used wealth and magic to contort the forces of evil and bind them to his own tyrannical will. Found out by ancient Elves, his execution was ordered, but foolish nobility spared the sorcerer and instead opted to banish him to faraway lands where, unimpeded, he could eventually construct the Dark Tower of Shaddar-Nur and command hordes of Goblins and Orcs to wage a war of vengeance against the lands of light. Whoops. Should of just took his stupid head and been done with it, but no, they had to be all merciful and stuff. Damn idiots.
