The Longest Line has posted up its review of 'Icewind Dale II'. The final score is an 8.7 out of 10.
Here's a snippet:Icewind Dale II plays nearly identically to its predecessors, sticking to the tried and true gameplay system. You create a party of six characters (or less if you'd like) using a template system that is as simple or as complicated as you'd like it to be. You may pick a pre-generated character, create your own from scratch, or choose the middle road and edit a preexisting character. Since the game uses the newest edition Dungeons and Dragons rules, several new classes and races are available, as well as new combat proficiencies and abilities known as feats. These feats are of critical importance to the game, and can improve everything from Combat Casting ability to Dual Wielding swords (which is, of course, very cool). |
