Gothic II will officially hit store shelves in Austria, Switzerland and Germany tomorrow but it seems like some dealers are already selling it. The game may be slightly delayed until Monday in a few select areas because JoWood has passed the distribution rights on to Koch Media. Anyway, here are the news straight from GothicDot: 1. Some new pictures appeared over the last few days: -Piranha Bytes posted the cover artwork they created exclusively for PC Action 12/02. No, the female paladin won´t be in the game. ;) -4Players document their travels through King Rhobar´s realm with a daily screenshot gallery. Part 1 (30 screenshots) and part 2 (20 pics). Beware of spoilers! -JoWooD posted a small pic showing three weapons. 2. Gothic II available in Switzerland. And in Germany soon ?!? Gothic II hit the shelves in Switzerland two days before the official release date! Thanks to Jay for the info. :) Things are a bit more complicated in Germany. Today afternoon at 14.26 German print mag Gamestar reported about rumors Gothic II would be available "Some time next week" instead of this Friday. At 15.07 their competitor PC Games wrote they received confirmation from publisher JoWooD that the game has been shipped to the retailers and is on track for the scheduled release date. Of course they didn´t forget to mention certain rumors. *g* Gamestar updated their newsbit. More rumors are circulating about (not) meeting the deadline and a sudden change of the distributor, but they lack substance, so I´ll leave out the details. 3.
