DOMINION also supports a subset of trade skills called item manipulation skills. These are skills that allow the player to merge items together to strengthen already existing items. Players cannot create items from scratch, but a player skilled in the proper area could take a Steel Sword, merge some ingredients, and create a Refined Steel Sword of Fireballs.

The advantage to this system is that on the closed server systems, elite items are in short and high demand; thus players who are able to ‘make’ these items will be sought after and have a high level of successful bargaining with other players.
