Vivendi Universal will publish Interplay games in North America, acc to this press release:
Vivendi Universal Publishing and Interplay Announce Exclusive North American Distribution Agreement
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivendi Universal Publishing (VU Publishing) and Interplay Entertainment Corp. (Nasdaq: IPLY - news) announced today a North American distribution agreement which grants VU Publishing the exclusive rights to distribute Interplay's PC and video game console products through 2003 with the exception of Neverwinter Nights(TM).

O'Neil, Senior Vice President of Sales, Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing North America. ``The addition of Interplay to our distribution portfolio is another example of how we are strategically broadening our market position and creating partnerships in which both parties benefit from the other's key strengths.''

The first titles expected to be released under the distribution agreement will be the following PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system titles scheduled for fall 2001:
* Baldur's Gate(TM): Dark Alliance(TM): Set in the most popular
Dungeons & Dragons(R) campaign setting, The Forgotten Realms(R),
and maintaining the appeal of the original franchise, Baldur's Gate:
Dark Alliance will be an entirely new, action-packed experience that
opens the Baldur's Gate fiction to a new, wider audience. Faithful
adaptation of the new Dungeons & Dragons rules set, customizable player
characters, rich character development and dramatic new spells and
abilities combine to create an engrossing experience that will
captivate console gamers hungry for a dynamic and rewarding action
game.
* Giants(TM): Citizen Kabuto: The story of Giants takes place on a
distant planet where three powerful forces are about to collide in a
massive scale, spectacular action game. Giants: Citizen Kabuto's
award-winning gameplay offers up unbelievable action, tons of laughs,
gripping drama, and amazing graphics. Players can choose from three
unique species including the technologically powerful, hard partying
Meccs, the ethereal and magical Sea Reapers, and the unstoppable
behemoth known as Kabuto.
