German site GamesDynamite has whipped up an English interview with 'EverQuest II' Community Relations Manager Steve "Moorgard" Danuser.
Star Wars Galaxies has unbelievably decent graphics. The engine is at least one generation in front of all MMORPGs that are currently on the market, especially when it comes to the level of detail of the living creatures and playable characters. Does EQ2 use the same engine, or is it modified?

At one time Star Wars Galaxies and EverQuest II were intended to use the same engine, but early on we decided to build separate engines for each game. There are similarities in the detailed environments and characters both can render, but they aren't using the same technology. Both games offer incredible levels of character customization, but our customization focuses on the face rather than the whole body like SWG does.
