Star Wars: KotOR has been reviewed at C&VG, with a score of 94%:
What makes KOTOR such a wonderfully engaging experience is the characters and the way they have been brought to life. I'm not just talking about the graphics either (which - unlike most console-to-PC transferrals - are befittingly vibrant, highly detailed and endlessly watchable), but the depth of personality lavished on the various non-player characters. Thanks to a combination of an excellent script and a quality in the voice-acting that is almost without equal, there is a real diversity and dynamism among your party, even if your potential enemies are a little one-dimensional. An early recruit to your cause is Mission Vao, an irksome and plucky adolescent who initially you'll wish would fall off a ledge. But take the time to talk to her and her sidekick Wookiee, and by the end you'll love her like you would a sister. Unless during the course of events you become seduced by the Dark Side, in which case you'll end up wanting to cave her skull in like a Jaffa Cake and blame it on HK-47, your mildly psychotic assassin droid.
