Transcripts of the chat session held by Jack Emmert, Creative Director at Cryptic Studios, and David "Zeb" Cook, Senior Designer at Cryptic Studios on November 2, in which they discuss City of Heroes and City of Villains with the press and fans are now available at Xfire.
statesman: I'm Jack Emmert. Creative Director at Cryptic Studios. I led the Design of both City of Heroes and City of Villains.

lordrecluse: Hello all. I'm David "Zeb" Cook, Senior Designer here at Cryptic Studios (also known as Lord Recluse). I did the design work on City of Villians.

lordrecluse: Question: -SyN- 0p71c4L: Question: How many developers are involved in creation of the games, and how many are working at any given time in a work day?

Answer: There are about 70 people here at Cryptic working on the game.

[Xfire]Frederic: You guys can get started on the questions. PLEASE, DO NOT SPAM AND WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE. THANKS! J

BTW, Cryptic and NCSoft have generously donated TEN copies of City of Heroes and City of Villains. They will be raffled live during this event to the people who ask the best questions!

[Xfire]Frederic: NOTE that you can still win a copy of the game even if your question has not been answered. :-)

statesman: Question: an3i7rust: Why did you not put both games into one game…why make two separate games? Or why not make an expansion pack for City of Heroes?

Answer: We decided to make City of Villains a standalone because it made sense. The villains had a story and a tale all their own. We didn't want to bill it as an expansion, because it really wasn't. Considering the content we were giving.
