J.: At this point, is the plan to have just one, huge game-world for all players, or several?

Marc: We plan to have just one. However, every technology has limits, and there is no such thing as unlimited scalability. (I find it amusing to sometimes hear claims like "millions of simultaneous players". This reminds me of Dr. Evil's famous "One Hundred Billion Dollars".)

We will try to push this as far as we can, but if we hit a barrier because we have many more subscribers than initially anticipated, then the only choice will be to add another server.
