RPG Vault has posted some impressions from playing Ascaron's action RPG 'Sacred'.
Released in North America last week by regional publisher Encore, developer Ascaron Entertainment's Sacred allows you to play any of six characters designed to diverge widely in their fighting styles, special skills and magical affinities. One of these is the aforementioned Seraphim, a warrior versed in godly magic. The Gladiator is a close combat fighter, and the Battle Mage a learned spellcaster. The Dark Elf is an assassin trained in the martial arts, and the Wood Elf a ranger steeped in elemental magic, while the Vampiress, a knightly figure by day, becomes a very different being once the sun has disappeared. Since first spotting the game quite some time ago, we naturally kept it under close surveillance as it progressed through development, and now that it has shipped, we finally have the chance to experience it for ourselves.
