Spellforce: the Order of Dawn is the brainchild of developers Phenomic and producers JoWood. It is set for release in early February and promises to deliver a unique and addictive blend of Real Time Strategy with Role-playing elements. This is some promise to live up to, especially with the frighteningly excellent and relatively recent Warcraft III and its expansion, The Frozen Throne still fresh in many a persons mind. Upon playing the game, I was pleasantly surprised; it was not a clone by anyone’s stretch of the imagination. I have my doubts though, and I question if Spellforce will really be successful in bringing anything new to the genre.
