Class system could be better, lots of skills are left out. Set storyline, not much room for roleplaying

Ibxsv has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ibxsv)

How can anyone possibly rate this add on lower than an 8. the puzzles in the castle and the fun involved was without question classic

Extremely well done RPG considering when this game came out.

I don't understand why this game was so popular, I thought it was pants. I don't understand why so many people like the D&D system as well. This game just had no good qualitys to speak of.

Lintra has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Lintra)

Together with Ice Wind Dale this expansion caused me to not buy BG2. It was Okay...but not great.

Rab has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Rab)

Interesting NPCs, an interesting story, and some great artwork and music give this game atmosphere. A superior title.

This is a great rpg game. Nice graphics and good magic visions. Only downfall is item graphics a a bit lame.

I deem this game unworthy for a one it deserves negitives i have never wasted my time and $30 on a worse game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I proclaim this the worst game EVER TO COME AND EVER IN THE PAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DARN BALDURS GATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RobKob has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from RobKob)

With this add-on BG finally gets a decent dungeon ( actually a really good one ), and Balduran's Isle is also fun. But the quality of some other part of the program leave much to desire. The Arctic Isle quest is crap and the interior of the Ulgoth's Beard houses is just ridiculous. And the add-on was way to expensive when it was released.

Markus has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Markus)

New areas were well executed with above average storylines. Made a great game even greater.

MNA has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from MNA)

An outstanding addition with a nice storyline, improved upon the original engine, and also added replayability in certain previous areas.

Jacko has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jacko)

Average expansion, works better than the expansion for BG2 because of the broader map system for the first game but doesn't compare to the joy I had playing the game itself.

Val has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Val)

As far as expansions go it was better than Heart of Winter.

Volourn has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Volourn)

A good expansion with one of the best dungeons in ANY game. Biggest weakness is that it doesn't continue its namesake's story.

howling1 has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from howling1)

Durlag's Tower remains Bio's best work to date. They gone downhill ever since.

Karzak has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Karzak)

One of the best, a small company got lucky.

Zhen Dil Oloth has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Zhen Dil Oloth)

A very good add-on to BG. One of the best expansion I have played. Durlag's Tower is a great dungeon, with some great puzzles and traps. A must for any fan of BG.

garrett has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from garrett)

Better than the sometimes booring BG1 - takes the game towards BG2

Ultimate Thief has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ultimate Thief)

Improves BG1 and paves the path for BG2

Friedrich Hanisch has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Friedrich Hanisch)

Didn't like it much.

Tharsonius has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Tharsonius)

makes BG even better

LOBO has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from LOBO)

Good expansion giving what you expect but not much more. Some more hours of fun play with "sidequests" in the style Baldurs Gate 2 has in its maingame. That is; Bigger and cooler than the pretty dull sidequests in the original BG.

Daniel Kelley has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Daniel Kelley)

The first expansion to the best RPG ever made. Tales of the Sword Coast is a fantastic add on adventure to baldur's Gate 1, it is one of the best dungeon treks I have ever explored with plenty of traps and some really tough riddles to solve with great treasures to aquire and a must have to anyone that has Baldur's Gate 1,I give Tales of the Sword Coast a 10/10.

Same BG shite all over again. The only advantage this add-on gives is that of your characters (untill the new xp cap that is). Unbelievable, people get ripped off by something and react by worshipping it. This kind of malpractice (expensive add-ons that are necessary to overwrite inbuild restrictions of the original) should be boycotted, not praised!?!

Excellent expansion for an excellent RPG.

Coffing Joe has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Coffing Joe)

The quests have more depth, and Durlag's Tower is unforgetable. The "Mendas and the Werewolf Island" quest was a very refreshing change from the typical Fed-Ex type quests that plagued the original BG.
