Access Gamer has posted a preview of Evillusion's Bible-themed RPG 'Eon of Tears'. Hype rating: 9/10. Here's a teaser from the beginning of the 4-pager...

Edited to reflect information provided in news comments - Thanks, guys :)
Some of today’s most prominent role-playing games gain their prestige by their ability to pitch the player into a world where they’re faced with making morally abiding decisions that interfere with their own emotions, plummeting the player deeper into the game on a more personal intensity. Eon of Tears, in development by the Montreal-based Evillusion, takes the basic Good vs. Evil principle found abundant in most role-playing games and gives players the freedom to choose one extreme over the other, plunging them into a unique, non-linear, yet very controversial environment.

Eon of Tears is being labeled as a single-player role-playing game based loosely on the events and philosophies found in the Bible. Games based on religious beliefs do not fare particularly well in hardcore gaming circles, but Eon of Tears may be the one title to change the typical viewpoint of most gamers regarding the subject matter of a religious game. Not only does Eon of Tears use the latest in graphical technology to present the biblical setting, but it also gives the players the ability to rewrite the bible the way they choose through their actions and allows them to play on the side of God, with the heart of Lucifer, or on the side of no one but themselves.
