Jolt got their hands on some 'Seal of Evil' code and has posted some impressions of Object Software's Chinese action-RPG: Seal of Evil arrived in one such stray package (two weeks late, thanks very much Royal Mail), and what do you know, the demo’s already out now, so you can just as easily check it out for yourself. Now you might look at the Diablo-esque screenshots and think ‘hmm, those screenshots are looking mighty Diablo-esque’. You’d be right, of course, and in more ways than one. Blizzard’s esteemed hack’n’slash RPG sequel Diablo II is over 4 years old now, and it continues to spawn clones and semi-clones. One such semi-clone was the so-so Prince of Qin, developed by China’s Object Software. Seal of Evil is the follow-up to Prince of Qin, but in the name of progress, the story has gone back in time. They had magic back then, don’t you know? |
