Lineage 2 is NCSoft's latest entry into the Fantasy MMORPG genre. It is the prequel to Lineage and using that as a benchmark it should be hugely successful. If NCSOft's own figures are to beleived Lineage at its height had over 4 million subscribers with roughly 330,000 accounts being active at any one time. To put this in perspective that would swallow Everquest very roughly 8 times over. In Korea, the staple market for Lineage 2, this is very big business and NCSoft must have a winner on their hands. This of course means the game is aimed directly at the Korean market and because of that some aspects of the game play do not follow the traditional western methods of play, that being said get used to the particular differences and they soon blend into the background.
