PROJECT THREE GOES KULT

Limmen, November 21st 2003

Dutch publisher Project Three Interactive BV today announced it has acquired the European rights for the 3D isometric RPG “KULT”. Having been in development for almost 3 years by the young and talented Slovakian studio named 3D People, Kult is set for an early Q2-2004 release.

For Kult (previously known as ‘Cult’), 3D People is using an in-house developed isometric engine, featuring i.e. zoom and smooth scrolling, dynamic light and day as well as weather changes plus advanced particle systems for dynamic spells, explosions and effects. With the rich animations and beautiful highly detailed environments in over 50 maps, Kult will certainly provide the right amounts of eye-candy.

The player will have the choice to play the game either as an adventure or as an action game. He can explore the parallel astral reality of the Dreamworld, follow the breathtaking story set in the fantasy kingdom of Rywennia by interacting with the many NPC’s and completing the 40 epic quests or face the over 30 monsters in combat, using over 100 unique weapons, 50 spells and 25 skills.

Project Three spokesman Erik Schreuder stated: “We are very eager to present this promising title and are sure Kult will appeal to the many fantasy fans and RPG players out there. To be honest I can’t wait to see it finished.” The game is expected to enter beta/gold by March 2004.

Peter Nagy, team leader of 3D People added: “We are extremely pleased to get a committed and aggressive publisher like Project Three behind our game and wish the future players as much enjoyment playing Kult as we are having while developing it.”

The ‘European rights’ acquired by Project Three include those for Australia, New Zealand and Israel, but do not include those for Russia and former USSR states.
