HomeLan Fed has conducted an interview with BioWare's joint CEO's Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk as they look back on their company's recently released epic AD&D 3rd ed. fantasy RPG Neverwinter Nights.

Here's a bit from the chat:
HomeLAN - There has been some criticism that the game's multiplayer online mode have so far not performed as first expected. What is your response to this?

Dr. Greg Zeschuk - A lot of people had expectations about how Neverwinter Nights would function as a massively multiplayer game – the multiplayer mode in Neverwinter is a system that allows discreet modules to be played, and was never built to be a massively multiplayer experience. We’re now adding additional features that support more persistent servers, mainly because the fans are looking for us to extend the game. The live team is also working very hard to add features and work on concerning areas to improve gameplay for everyone.

One of the most exciting features we’re working on now is a player-server registry for players, servers and DMs – this system will help people to find good servers and good players to enjoy the game. Another extremely significant addition will be a “buddy-system” that will allow players to find their friends in games and link up with them quickly. We think both of these features will significantly improve how easy it is to find good servers and good players in Neverwinter Nights.
