Thanks to Tybalt from Warcry for letting us know that they have posted some impressions from checking out inXile's 'The Bard's Tale' at Gen Con.
Yes, I like humor. I like making fun of things and I like The Bard’s Tale. The Bard’s Tale is a reinvention of the series made into an Action RPG. Luckily for me, Tom Richardson of inXile Entertainment happened to be playing The Bard’s Tale at the Vivendi Booth and took a few moments to talk with me.

Ultimately, the game is a classic RPG experience featuring a rhyming bard who has no aspirations beyond “coin and cleavage”. The game’s ultimate purpose is to add humor and personality to the classic hack and slash Action RPG styles. inXile wants to add a Princess Bride/Shrek twist to the genre.
