It's not all good as it seems: Evaluated on the basis of this demo, Another War presents an unusual, quirky and very challenging marriage of adventure, role-playing and combat elements. In its current form, the vexingly difficult combat system offers an experience that, at times, is to be endured more than enjoyed. Unfortunately, this and a couple of minor bugs that are still in evidence do detract somewhat from a potentially intriguing and novel addition to the CRPG genre. However, despite these gripes, the visual and aural facets work well with the whimsical and witty storyline to offer an effectively integrated experience that can only bode favorably for the retail version.
