Announced almost a year ago, Wish is a persistent state world project that has attracted growing interest ever since. Based in the traditions of medieval high fantasy, developer Mutable Realms' title nonetheless stands apart in various ways. Possibly the most ambitious is its aim to accommodate tens of thousands of simultaneous players within a single environment, an objective the team intends to accomplish through the use of highly scalable server technology. Also related to the back end but far more visible to players, the entirety of the gameworld - from towns to dungeons, grassland, forest, desert, coastal shores, volcanic zones and more - will be presented in a seamless manner. Another interesting twist is the inclusion of some unusual archetypes; there are various creatures we may not see all that often, and the Cyclops as a playable race.
