PC Arena has written a review of Celtic Kings: Rage of War, rating it 4/5 stars. The conclusion that follows their short review reads like this:
Celtic Kings: Rage of War is an excellent combination of RTS and RPG elements mixed into one tight package. The adventure portions of the game serve only to enhance the real time aspects while allowing one to explore and focus on character building rather than constantly doing the 'gather, build, and destroy" routine that has been already done to death. With crisp and attractive graphics, the game's scenario editor as well as a random map generator should greatly extend the replay ability of the game for weeks to come.

The few gripes like the lack of voice acting do little to detract from the actual gaming experience. For someone who is bored to tears by current RTS titles, Celtic Kings : Rage Of War came across as a wonderful surprise, proving that there is still plenty of life in kicking around the associated genre.
