The Imps

When the Raanaar drove out the demons, many of imps stayed behind, building small villages in the mushroom forests of this world. It became their new home. Like the demons, the imps were also weakened, robbed of most of their magic powers by the protection crystal. The Raanaar accepted their new neighbours as their servants, and although the imps were not treated badly, they were far from being truly free.

In their villages, the imps live in small tribes, together with their spider steeds and frog-like creatures they kept as cattle. Because of their loss, the society of imps on Nemisis slowly shifted their belief in magic towards those of a more scientific nature. The shamans came to play a far less important role, while the alchemists and sages became more influential. The character of the imps is still full of greed and not very trustworthy, but their time on Nemisis has made them much more open-minded than others of their species.
