Neocron Online has posted the final installment of their series: Darkie Does Deutschland. This time, it's an interview with Neocron's Project Leader Jörg Schwiezer from Reakktor Media. Here's a bit:

N/O - Let's talk about ECTS this year [Ed: 2001]. Obviously there must have been a bit of disappointment with you guys regarding Neocron not getting the exposure that it obviously deserves. Do you have any thoughts or opinion on the subject that you'd like to share? Like, what happened exactly?

JS - Well, it was held pretty close from the signing of the contract, so there wasn't a lot of preparation time. CDV had actually planned some more activity there, which for bizarre reasons... didn't happen. Like guys who weren't there should have been. They weren't really supposed to have Reakktor staff there, CDV should have had guys there who should have been able to give more info on Neocron. But it's no big deal. It (ECTS) isn't really that big of an expo anyway. If you take a look at it, Sony weren't there at all, Nintendo weren't there at all, it's just not as important. E3 is definitely important though. But at the time we weren't really far enough with the game to show something at E3. ECTS is also a real 'Experts Expo'. It's not for the players really. It's more for the internal business side of things.

N/O - So can we expect to see Neocron at next year's E3 perhaps?

JS - Definitely. Definitely. Big. It'll also depend on how well things are going, but we definitely want to have a display there big-time. By then we'll have it running and will be working on expansions and so-on, so there'll definitely be new stuff to show there and we'll have had time beforehand to prove that it's really a cool game.
