Which was true... until a few moments ago when CDV decided to extend the beta until October 1. There seems to be some strange stuff going on in the Neocron community and especially at CDV and Reakktor. It seems like CDV was worried about negative comments on Neocron that were spreading all over the web. CDV was even more worried because people didn't differentiate between the beta, the already released German version, the just released UK version and the soon to be released US version. Since the US is certainly the most important market for Neocron, CDV decided to pull the plug on the beta so people would not be able to complain about the status of Neocron any longer. It does, however, look like CDV had to eventually give in to pressure from Reakktor and the Neocron fanbase who felt like the game needed at least a little more testing.
