Arx Fatalis Element of the Week 9

Garrett, 2001-10-05

Arx Fatalis is an RPG developed by Arkane Studios. It offers a number of interactions with objects and NPCs, realistic action fights, a unique real time spell casting system, character creation, dialogues, puzzles, exploration in an underground atmospheric world with various Cities inhabited by several races, galleries, dungeons and mines all intertwined by an unexpected epic plot.

We will bring you this Arx Fatalis Element of the week in collaboration with publisher Fishtank. This time we feature the Fireball Spell.

The Fireball Spell
We started our presentation of spells in "Element Of The Week" some weeks ago with the spell Magic Missile. Now we like to introduce its more powerful brother, the Fireball. Yes, the classic Fireball-spell will be also available in Arx Fatalis. No magical education is complete without learning this spell. Like Magic Missile, this offensive spell is perfect to attack enemies from a distance, but is causing much more damage to the target. The more experience you gain during the game, the more powerful this spell becomes. The Fireball is a bit more difficult to cast than Magic Missile and it also needs more magical energy but you surely don't want to miss this spell when facing stronger enemies.
