Arcanum - Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: 2/10 points |
Miserable gameplay. Combat was easy and boring, with no tactical depth. Character development is frustratingly slow when you have a single point per level to allocate. There needed to be more feedback on things occuring in-game, and fewer bugs. The world seemed unfinished (a lot of empty houses that looked like they were meant to hold something if anyone got around to populating them) and ugly. NPC interaction showed some interesting tricks, but it's not enough to save this title. This is a bad game with a few great ideas in it. At least it's better than M&M IX. |
Baldur's Gate: 8/10 points |

Baldur's Gate - Tales of the Sword Coast: 8/10 points |
Interesting NPCs, an interesting story, and some great artwork and music give this game atmosphere. A superior title. |
Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 9/10 points |
|
Bard's Tale 3 - Thief of Fate: 7/10 points |
|
Dungeon Siege: 2/10 points |
Beautiful and boring. |
Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall: 7/10 points |
|
EverQuest: 2/10 points |
|
Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points |
|
Fallout 2: 9/10 points |
|
Might & Magic 9: 1/10 points |
A shallow, lifeless game. If you don't like any of the great modern CRPGs that are on the market now, then replay Bard's Tale or Wizardry III. They are better and more sophisticated games than this. |
